Overview

We have divided up the shortcodes into global, and local shortcodes.

Global Shortcodes

These shortcodes are available across the entire document. They use the %xxx% wrapper, eg. ‘Best casino in %year%.’

Available global shortcodes:

%currentSeason% - the current football season, eg 2026/27. Rolls over on 1 July: before July it renders last year/current year (eg 2025/26 in May 2026), from 1 July it renders current year/next year (eg 2026/27 in September 2026).

Local Shortcodes

These shortcodes are only available in the places they are defined in - that could be a field on a slice, or a translation etc. They use the {xxx} wrapper, eg. ‘{title} is rated {rating}.’ They are defined on the field that they are available for, eg. operator description {title}{rating}{minDeposit}
